نظم مركز عجمان للإحصاء والتنافسية ورشة عمل بعنوان : "استدامة وتنافسية المدن" ، بمشاركة عدد كبير من ممثلي الجهات الحكومية والقطاع الخاص على المستويين الاتحادي والمحلي في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة من المعنيين والمهتمين بمسائل الاستدامة والتنافسية.
وحاضر في ورشة العمل الدكتور وائل مصطفى زكي المحاضر في التخطيط العمراني بالجامعات العربية وعضو الاتحاد الدولي للإسكان الدولية لمخططي المدن والأقاليم بهولندا وعضو معهد إدارة المشروعات والجمعية الأمريكية للتخطيط في شيكاغو بالولايات المتحدة.
وتناول الورشة عدداً من المحاور والعناصر الهامة ، منها "استدامة وتنافسية المدن : الماهية والأهمية والروابط" ، و"مقومات وسمات استدامة وتنافسية المدن" ، و"نظرة تحليلية لأهم مؤشرات قياس استدامة وتنافسية المدن" ، و"تطبيقات عملية حول أبرز المدن المستدامة على المستوى العالمي" ، و"الآفاق المستقبلية لاستدامة وتنافسية المدن" .
وقالت الدكتورة هاجر الحبيشي المدير التنفيذي لمركز عجمان للإحصاء والتنافسية إن تنظيم هذه الورشة يأتي في إطار جهود المركز المستمرة لترسيخ مبادئ وقواعد الاستدامة والتنافسية وتعزيز القدرات الحكومية والخاصة المرتبطة بها ، وذلك بالتعاون مع كل من "كفاءات الدولية" بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة المتخصصة في رعاية نمو الابتكار الاجتماعي للشباب وريادة الأعمال، وتنمية المعرفة والمهارات والقدرات الماليّة اللازمة لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة ، و"المركز الاستشاري لحماية التجارة والاستثمار" (مركز حماية) بجمهورية مصر العربية المتخصص في توفير الدعم القانوني للقطاعات الحكومية والخاصة من خلال تقديم الاستشارات وإعداد السياسات والبحوث والدراسات وتنظيم ورش العمل والحلقات التدريبية المتعلقة بالاستدامة والتنافسية.
وأوضحت الحبيشي أن المدينة المتميزة القابلة للعيش براحة وسعادة تجمع بين ثلاثة عناصر أساسية مترابطة، وهي الاستدامة، والابتكار بمستوى تنافسي، والذكاء، الذي لا يقتصر على استقدام التقنيات والتطبيقات التكنولوجية فحسب، بل يعمل على تسخير تلك التقنيات في خدمة السكان، وتحويل التعامل معها واستخدامها إلى جزء أصيل من ثقافتهم وعاداتهم وأسلوب حياتهم اليومية في التنقل والملبس والمأكل والعلاقات الإنسانية.

"Ajman's GDP Rises to Dh36 Billion 2023".

Preliminary estimates of Ajman’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the year 2023, issued by the Ajman Statistics Center, reveal the emirate’s robust economic performance and positive growth rates. The emirate achieved a GDP at current prices exceeding 36 billion UAE dirhams, compared to 33.9 billion dirhams in the previous year, reflecting a growth rate of 6.25%. At constant prices, the GDP reached approximately 32 billion dirhams, compared to 30.5 billion dirhams in 2022, with a growth rate of 4.7%. This performance reflects the wisdom of the economic policies adopted by the emirate and confirms the strength and stability of its economy.
