The Business Continuity Committee held its third teleconference meeting, chaired by H.E. General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdulla Al Nuaimi, the Ajman Police commander general, and chairman of the Business Continuity Committee in Ajman, attended by the committee members who are directors of the local government departments in Ajman, in order to discuss the consolidated efforts exerted to maintain the health and integrity of the society members, to ensure work continuity and efficiency and to support the government's preventive efforts to combat Corona virus (COVID-19) and curb its spread.During this meeting, the measures supporting the safe and hygienic delivery of food to houses were discussed. It was decided to form a joint committee from Ajman Police and the Department of Municipality and Planning to audit the controls and requirements of health and safety, in order to allow the delivery companies , compliant with these requirements, to work during the period specified for national sterilization program, provided that a permit is obtained through applying to the Health Section of the Department of Municipality and Planning.

Furthermore , the meeting discussed the application of the standards of the specification of business continuity in the institutions, and the positive impact it has on the promotion of quality and supporting the performance continuity perfectly. H.E. the committee chairman recommended the formation of task forces in each government authority in Ajman, in order to apply the supporting actions with a view to obtaining the specification of business continuity by all government agencies.  During the meeting, H.E. the commander general of Ajman Police reviewed the adopted preventive and precautionary measures which are in line with and support the procedures of the business continuity in Ajman, such as the sterilization of labor camps in Ajman and the precautionary measures of workers transportation, as well as the enforcement of movement restriction regulations during the sterilization period and the organization of entry and exit of vehicles to and from Ajman, without hindering the movement of the categories excluded, such as those of the medical sector , the important institutions and the specified viral sectors, without adversely affecting the economy of Ajman and the UAE. In addition to following-up the application of physical distancing measures in all locations, the prevention of intermingling and gatherings and the issuance of fine tickets in case of non-application of the preventive measures prescribed, such as wearing masks, complying with the three persons per vehicle restriction…etc. In support to these measures taken to control this crisis, the Committee made recommendations to develop a joint, integrated strategic plan of business continuity. In addition to emphasizing the necessity for appointing coordinators from each government agency, in order to promote and develop plans for confronting the current crisis and the future epidemics, crises and disasters, to ensure and support the continuity of performance and completion of work without interruption on the level of various sectors and entities in Ajman emirate.

"Ajman's GDP Rises to Dh36 Billion 2023".

Preliminary estimates of Ajman’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the year 2023, issued by the Ajman Statistics Center, reveal the emirate’s robust economic performance and positive growth rates. The emirate achieved a GDP at current prices exceeding 36 billion UAE dirhams, compared to 33.9 billion dirhams in the previous year, reflecting a growth rate of 6.25%. At constant prices, the GDP reached approximately 32 billion dirhams, compared to 30.5 billion dirhams in 2022, with a growth rate of 4.7%. This performance reflects the wisdom of the economic policies adopted by the emirate and confirms the strength and stability of its economy.
