Ajman Executive Council and Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center launch the Study of Social life Index in Ajman emirate

In coordination with Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center, the Secretariat-General of Ajman Executive Council undertook a study of the social life index in Ajman emirate for the year 2019-2020, which included 7 key indices. This study is the first of its kind nationwide, the main findings of which were reviewed and endorsed recently at the session of the Executive Council.H. H. E. Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, the Secretary-General of the Executive Council in Ajman stated that the study of social life index in Ajman for the year 2019-2020 comes as a part of a series of social studies undertaken based on the directives of H. H. Sheikh Humaid Al Noaimi, the Member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Ajman, in respect of the necessity for paying attention by the government to the social and life aspects and studying the service sectors and the cultural and environmental activities that are directly relevant to the individuals and community in Ajman emirate, as well as determining the needs and requirements of those individuals and having the same reflected on the government strategies and initiatives, in order to provide stable and attracting environment to the residents of Ajman emirate. H. indicated that this study seeks to provide Ajman government with a measurement of a set of vital indicators that are relevant to Ajman Vision 2021 and its strategic elements, through providing the base line for measuring a number of strategic indices related to the element of a better place to live in and the element of vibrant society and documenting the change mode therein in the future, in order to enable the concerned decision makers to prioritize the areas of improvement from the community’s perspective, to concentrate all efforts towards improving the quality of social life in Ajman and to enable the evaluation of the extent of success of the policies, plans and initiatives in achieving the objectives thereof. Dr. Al Matrooshi added that in light of the findings of the study of social life indices in Ajman emirate, the levels targeted by these indices can be set, the stakeholders can be determined in respect of the improvement of the social life in Ajman in the way supporting the achievement of the vision 2021, focus can be made on the indices as a priority while planning for the developmental initiatives in Ajman emirate and indices concerned with cultural activities and integration can be incorporated in a comprehensive community model with the Ajman’s attractiveness index. Dr. Hajar Al Hehbaishi, the Executive Director of Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center, on her part, asserted that the Center spares no effort to study and investigate all aspects related to the social life in Ajman emirate. As the study of the social life index in Ajman was designed to provide reliable, updated information on the characteristics, attitude and view of the family and the individuals on the local level towards a set of topics, in order to enable the creation of links between various life and social aspects.

Humaid bin Rashid Reviews the Endowments Report in Ajman
His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, reviewed a statistical report on the status of endowments in the Emirate of Ajman. The session was held in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council. The report, prepared by the Ajman Statistics Center in collaboration with relevant entities, was presented by Dr. Hajar Al Habishi, Director General of the Ajman Statistics Center. It included comprehensive statistics on the types of endowments, their value, and generated revenues. The report aims to highlight key endowment-related statistics by collecting and analyzing relevant data, standardizing classifications across concerned authorities, and supporting strategic planning for the development of endowment projects within the emirate.

Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, praised Ajman’s attainment of the ISO certification for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) sustainability. His Highness emphasized that the Emirate's adoption of the new ISO standard reflects its commitment to providing a modern urban environment aligned with the highest global standards, achieving a balance between economic, social, and environmental development. He added, "This achievement underscores Ajman's dedication to establishing solid foundations for growth and prosperity, with a focus on utilizing globally recognized and reliable indicators to measure and track sustainability progress. It also directs policy priorities through the lens of a smart, sustainable, and resilient city." H.H. the Crown Prince of Ajman received Dr. Hajar Saeed Al Hubaishi, Director General of the Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center, at his office in the Ruler’s Court. Dr. Al Hubaishi presented the details of Ajman's adoption of the new ISO standard for cities. The announcement of Ajman’s ISO certification was made during the Global Council on City Data (GCCD) conference, held at Toronto City Hall in Canada, with significant participation from leading cities and regions worldwide. Dr. Hajar Al Hubaishi stated that this milestone reflects Ajman’s commitment to becoming a leader in governance-based statistical indicators to ensure a prosperous and sustainable future. She added, "Ajman’s adoption of the new ISO standard for cities marks a pivotal step in our journey toward achieving sustainable development.
