Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Launches The Self-Enumeration Platform In Ajman Emirate

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, chairman of Higher Committee for the Administrative Census, announced the launch of the population self-enumeration platform in Ajman Emirate, which provides comprehensive & detailed statistical data on the whole population and their demographic, social and economic features, the matter that will contribute to the evaluation of the population situation in the Emirate. This announcement was released during the press conference held remotely in the presence of the members of the Higher Committee and the Technical Committee for the Administrative Census and Dr. Hajar Alhubaishi, the CEO of Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center. At the beginning of the press conference, H. H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi conveyed the compliments and recognition of H. H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Ajman, and Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Crown prince of Ajman, for the great efforts exerted by the staff involved in the project to complete it optimally, in order to achieve the desired objective. He also pointed out that this project receives the attention and support of Their Highnesses, due to their belief in the significance of provision of the entire data and information accurately, which provide support to the decision makers. His Highness asserted that data and information play a fundamental and essential role in the process of making sound decisions. He also stressed the importance of the cooperation and participation of the whole population of Ajman, including citizens and expatriates, to accomplish this vital project that will benefit both the individuals and the community , as it will contribute to the promotion of the standard of the government services provided to the citizens as well as the expatriates. In this context, His Highness pointed out that ”Ajman Vision 2021” focuses on supporting and developing the Emirate’s competitive potentials in the area of sustainable development and building the green economy, as well as the promotion of the partnership with the private sector and activating its developmental role. Then, Dr. Hajar Alhubaishi, CEO of Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center made a presentation on the importance and objectives of the population self-enumeration platform. She provided also a detailed explanation on the work mechanisms, the most important data required for answering the questions of the census form and how the population of Ajman Emirate are registered.  Dr. Alhubaishi explained how important the platform is for the population, for being one of the most prominent sources for collecting accurate and comprehensive data. She pointed out that the results will contribute to the provision of updated and rich-in-information databases, the matter that will support the decision making process. She mentioned that the self-enumeration platform is a government initiative aiming to achieve the sustainable development and progress in all aspects of life. She also stressed the importance of the cooperation of the citizens and expatriates in Ajman Emirate, through logging into the platform and recording the individuals and families’ data H. E. Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, the Commander-in-chief of Ajman Police, in turn, stated that this experiment  is an evidence on the keenness of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, on upgrading Ajman Emirate and enhancing the stereotype of development and modernization, in order to reduce the wastage of time, efforts and money. He emphasized the need for everyone’s cooperation to raise awareness of the community  members on the necessity for complying with the directives of Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center to ensure the success of this experiment, which  will contribute to producing better statistical outputs and providing  accurate and comprehensive database, as this is a national project serving the future strategic plans of Ajman Emirate.      H. E. Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, the secretary general ,  Ajman Executive Council of Ajman, in his turn, asserted that the project of administrative census 2020 is a national project that serves the future aspirations and objectives of the Emirate and supports its sustainable development plans. He pointed out that the Government of Ajman seeks, through this project, to exploit the statistical data which is a key instrument, upon which several strategic vital indicators in the Emirate are based, aiming at achieving prosperity and welfare for the society. In this context, H. E. Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, director general , Department of Municipality and planning in Ajman, stressed the importance of the cooperation and response by all the citizens and expatriates living in Ajman Emirate with Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center to implement this project. He highlighted the significance of this project in providing comprehensive and accurate database contributing to decision making. In the same context, H. E. Ali Eissa Al Nuaimi, the general director of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman, praised the existing cooperation between the Department and Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center in the field of sharing of statistical data, data of economic entities in the Emirate and the information and studies of common interest. He explained the importance of this project in supporting the decision makers to make the most appropriate and most effective decisions and to set the future policies, programs and strategic plans, in order to achieve the knowledge and innovation-based sustainable development. In her turn , Dr. Yasmin Joudi, the technical statistical advisor and the chairperson of the Technical Committee for the Administrative Census 2020, emphasized that the population self-enumeration platform adopts the application of the best and most prominent international practices, approaches and recommendations in developing the census form. She also asserted that the platform contributes to the provision of comprehensive, complete and updated data on the establishments, housing, buildings and the population of Ajman, whether citizens or expatriates, in order to produce statistical data and indexes instantly to draw developmental plans and policies and support making sound decisions that are supported by correct data. The chairperson of the Technical Committee stressed the importance of answering all questions of the census form accurately and transparently and using the relevant official documents when filling in the data. She also asserted that the data to be collected will remain confidential ad will be used for statistical purposes only. It is worth mentioning that the techniques, used in the population self-enumeration platform, help in providing state-of-art means to protect the data and information and to provide safe environment for the individuals and families’ data.  The population self-enumeration platform is an important part of the administrative census, in order to achieve the development objectives. Humaid bin Rashid reviews results of Household Income & Expenditure Survey in Ajman

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, reviewed the results of the Household Income and Expenditure Survey in Ajman for 2024 and the first half of 2025, through a detailed presentation prepared by the Ajman Statistics Centre. H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi affirmed that the survey results are a pivotal tool for understanding the living, social, and economic reality, and represent an essential foundation for developing developmental plans that enhance quality of life and support the path of sustainable development in the emirate. The Ruler of Ajman praised the efforts of the Ajman Statistics Centre in preparing studies and surveys that provide comprehensive data reflecting various social and economic aspects of the emirate, in a way that contributes to the development of services, ensures that citizens’ needs are met, and raises their standard of living. The survey aims to provide accurate data on income and consumption patterns in the emirate, enabling policymakers to design balanced development policies and strengthen initiatives to improve the living standards and quality of life of families in Ajman in the coming years. H.H. the Ruler of Ajman also listened to a detailed explanation of the survey results presented by Dr. Hajar Al Habishi, Director- General of the Ajman Statistics Centre. The presentation included comprehensive analyses of quality of life, social and economic well-being in the emirate, and details of spending on education and health sectors, in addition to identifying families’ self-sufficiency thresholds, consumption patterns, and living habits in Ajman. The presentation further included in-depth results on the demographic characteristics of families in the emirate, living standards, income sources, daily living costs, as well as the classification of families by different categories. It also highlighted the needs of some special cases among Emirati families, and presented practical proposals to strengthen a culture of saving and promote financial investment. The survey concluded with a set of recommendations focusing on enhancing social support networks, primarily by empowering low-income families and ensuring they receive their basic needs. The recommendations also emphasized encouraging Emirati families to launch private economic projects by providing incentives and financing programs that support their active participation in the labor market. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid also reviewed the Marriage and Divorce Report for 2024 and the first half of 2025, which showed a significant increase in the number of marriage contracts alongside a decline in divorce rates — a positive indicator of the stability of family and community fabric in the emirate.

Agreement of Cooperation between Ajman Statistics Center and Al Ittihad Charity Foundation to Enhance Data-Driven Social Impact

As part of strengthening collaboration between government entities and community institutions, the Ajman Statistics Center has signed a cooperation agreement with Al Ittihad Charity Foundation. This strategic step aims to support institutional integration, exchange expertise and knowledge, and leverage statistical data to serve charitable and community initiatives—thereby enhancing the effectiveness of development programs and ensuring a sustainable impact that benefits the local community. The signing ceremony took place at the Ajman Statistics Center headquarters, in the presence of officials from both sides. The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Hajar Saeed Al Habsi, Director General of Ajman Statistics Center, and H.E. Hareb Salem Al Aryani, Secretary General of Al Ittihad Charity Foundation. This partnership stems from the belief of both parties in the importance of integrating statistical work with community initiatives, and in the necessity of employing accurate data to support charitable efforts, improve the efficiency of social programs, and allocate resources optimally to achieve maximum positive impact on target groups.
