Ajman Statistics & Competitiveness Center Organizes A " Training Course " For The Office Employees Of The Annual Economic Surveys 2020 Project In Ajman Emirate

On Sunday 09.08.2020 , Ajman Statistics & Competitiveness Center (ASCC) conducted a four-days training course at Ajman Fairmont Hotel for the office employees of the annual economic surveys 2020 project in Ajman Emirate. Hessa Bin Zaid , project manager , stated that the main objective of the training course is to  train the office staff on the collection of statistical data mechanisms by using the most sophisticated technologies , taking into consideration the preventive and precautionary procedures to curb the spread of the novel corona virus  (COVID 19) pandemic.She added , the course covered various important topics , such as objectives of the annual economic survey, mechanisms of the economic establishments distribution to various economic sectors and activities and determining production values generated from the main activities and secondary activities. Ms. Bin Zaid stressed that the annual survey of the economic establishments project is one of the significant statistical projects conducted by Ajman Statistics & Competitiveness Center (ASCC) , which provides an economic database for the emirate that helps the decision makers to take decisions in the domain of economy.In this concern , Ms. Bin Zaid mentioned that the project contributes to providing updated , high quality , accurate and comprehensive economic data pursuant to the recognized international standards , covering all the main and necessary characteristics, in terms of number of establishments , their locations and distribution to the various economic activities , identifying their legal status , ownership , capital , number of employees with their compensations including salaries and benefits , as well as supplying detailed information on the production and expenses.She noted that the project observes all the precautionary and preventive procedures to control spread of "COVID 19" epidemic , in addition to using the most advanced technical technologies to collect the required data. Ms. Hessa explained that the project covers all the activities , including the transformational industries sectors , wholesale and retail trading , construction , building , transportation , financial and insurance sector, and services sector in order to receive data on the size of manpower , production values , added value calculation and the capital composition in each sector.  

"Ajman's GDP Rises to Dh36 Billion 2023".

Preliminary estimates of Ajman’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the year 2023, issued by the Ajman Statistics Center, reveal the emirate’s robust economic performance and positive growth rates. The emirate achieved a GDP at current prices exceeding 36 billion UAE dirhams, compared to 33.9 billion dirhams in the previous year, reflecting a growth rate of 6.25%. At constant prices, the GDP reached approximately 32 billion dirhams, compared to 30.5 billion dirhams in 2022, with a growth rate of 4.7%. This performance reflects the wisdom of the economic policies adopted by the emirate and confirms the strength and stability of its economy.
