H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashed Al Nuaimi, the member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Ajman, was briefed about the most prominent outcomes of the study of Ajman Attractiveness Index, which is the first of its kind State-wide, and the report on marriages and divorces developed by Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center, in the presence of H. H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Crown Prince of Ajman.
H. H. the Ruler of Ajman expressed his pride in the continued successes and the outstanding level of taking care of the community achieved in the Emirate.
The annual Study of Ajman Attractiveness Index is a composite index that gauges the Emirate's attractiveness, through measuring six key indexes in the following critical sectors: education, healthcare, public services, communication, infrastructure and transportation.
The index will be one of the tools supporting the process of planning, allocation of resources, assessment of performance and evaluation of policies and programs, in order to contribute to improving the quality of life.
The study aims at providing clear, accurate insight that supports the concerned decision makers to determine the areas of priority, in order to achieve improvement at the community level and to focus efforts to upgrade the services provided in the Emirate.
Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matroushi, Secretary-General of the Ajman Executive Council, and Dr. Hajar Saeed Al-Hubaishi, Executive Director of the Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Centre, presented the details of the study, which was developed and formulated in accordance with a scientific method to gauge Ajman Attractiveness Index through measuring the public's satisfaction with the key vital sectors impacting their daily life directly.
The study showed an increase in the "Attractiveness Index" in 2020, achieving a rate of 91.9% compared to 83.8% in 2018. In 2018, a rate of 83.5% was recorded in all sectors of life, which are of importance to the happiness of the Emirate’s citizens and residents and the fulfillment of their need
In the education sector, the "Satisfaction Index" rose in 2020 to 93% compared to 87.4% in 2019. For health sector, the index rose to 94.3% in 2020 compared to 88.8% in 2019.
In public services sector, the index rose to 92.2% in 2020 compared to 85.2% in 2019.
In telecommunications sector, the index rose in 2020 to 86.6% compared to 75.2% in 2019. For infrastructure, the customer satisfaction index increased to 90.3% in 2020 compared to 76.1% in 2019. For transportation sector, the index rose to 94.8% in 2020 compared to 90.9 percent in 2019. The study also showed that sense of security in Ajman Emirate increased to a rate of 98.4%.
H. H. the Ruler of Ajman and H. H. the Crown Prince reviewed also, along with the study of the attractiveness index of the Emirate of Ajman, the report on marriages and divorces for the first half of 2021, where it indicated that the number of marriage contracts increased.
H. H. the Ruler of Ajman paid tribute to Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness for its role and efforts in providing detailed, comprehensive and complete data about the social and economic life, the matter that reflects the strategic thinking of the leadership with regard to supporting the decision making process with the modern tools and accurate data, as well as its keenness on the fulfillment of the entire of the people's needs, through examining the aspects of their lives and providing anything necessary for ensuring a decent life for the citizens, and also to develop the services in the Emirate and to make the proper decisions with regard to the process of development and public policies and plans setting, in order to promote the civilizational development in the Emirate.
H. H. the Ruler said that the index represents the reference baseline for learning about the community's needs that necessitate cooperation and coordination between all stakeholders, building partnerships with added value and identifying the improvement and development opportunities and their impact of the satisfaction of the community. The index will also be one of the tools supporting the process of planning, allocation of resources, assessment of performance and evaluation of policies and programs, in order to contribute to improving the quality of life.
H. H. the Ruler emphasized the necessity for promoting the awareness of the government bodies with regard to preparing studies and polls, increasing the number of the publications designed based on international scientific standards and developing improvement initiatives based on scientific studies.
H. H. the Ruler stressed that the real value of excellence lies in upgrading the studies showing the quality of the people's daily life, through better services and procedures.
Ajman Harvests Three " ISO Cities" Certifications for 2025 for the Second Consecutive Year
Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Representative of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs, received the three " ISO City" specifications Certifications issued by the World Council on City Data (WCCD). This affirms the emirate's ongoing commitment to achieving sustainable urban development. The certifications included: ISO 37120 Platinum Certification for Sustainable Cities and Quality of Life, received by Ajman for the third consecutive time; ISO 37122 Smart Cities Certification; and ISO 37123 Resilient Cities Certification. Thus, Ajman has become a pioneer in achieving these three certifications simultaneously in a single year, for the second consecutive year, reflecting Ajman's leading global position among smart and resilient cities. The emirate has also recently joined the new international standard, namely; "ISO Environmental, Social, and Governance Sustainability," which is a significant step that affirms Ajman's commitment to providing an advanced urban environment that balances economic, social, and environmental development and adopts accurate and internationally recognized indicators to measure the urban performance and guide policies toward sustainable development. The handover ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials and general managers from local and federal government agencies in the emirate. Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said: "We are proud of Ajman's qualitative achievements and its receipt of international certifications for quality of life indicators and smart and resilient cities. We are committed and will continue to develop modern infrastructure, smart government services, and development initiatives focused on sustainability and a well-being for the emirate's community". Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi commended the close cooperation between Ajman Statistics Center and the entities supporting this achievement, which contributed to creating an integrated work environment based on transparency and internationally recognized corporate standards. This has enabled the emirate to achieve qualitative leaps in measuring and developing relevant performance indicators. He noted that the emirate's receipt of these prestigious certifications reflects the fruits of the efforts of all government work teams and the emirate's commitment to continuous improvement in accordance with the highest international standards adopted in the indicator measurement system. The emirate of Ajman obtained these prestigious certifications after completing the evaluation process in accordance with approved international standards, and satisfying more than 170 indicators in the economic, developmental, urban, social, environmental, technical, and service aspects, the thing which enabled the emirate to maintain its advanced ranking on the World City Index platform, accredited by the international organization. Her Excellency Dr. Hajar Al Hubaishi, Director General of Ajman Statistics Center, emphasized that the approved indicators are not limited to measuring performance alone, but rather represent strategic tools that enable the emirate to formulate development policies that respond to realities and keep pace with changes. This supports the achievement of sustainable development goals through accurate local indicators supported by statistical analysis and scientific standards. She noted that this achievement is the result of a series of fruitful meetings with the international organization and the relevant authorities, in addition to the ongoing cooperation with more than 20 local and federal entities, including 11 that directly contributed to providing the indicators necessary for the renewal of certification. The ISO 37120 standard for sustainable cities and quality of life indicators covers 19 key themes, encompassing most development sectors such as education, health, housing, economy, transportation, water, energy, entertainment, governance, and security. This standard has enabled the Emirate of Ajman to compare its indicators with other global cities. The ISO 37122 Smart Cities standard complements this framework by providing indicators to measure the development of smart services, the efficiency of digital technology use, the effectiveness of government communication with residents, and areas of urban and economic innovation, enhancing a city's readiness for comprehensive smart transformation. The ISO 37123 Resilient Cities standard measures a city's ability to prepare for and respond to crises, such as natural disasters and social, economic, and environmental pressures. This standard , also, helps to support decision-making, develop preventive policies, and enhance a city's ability to recover and achieve long-term sustainability. It is worthy to note that the World Council on City Data (WCCD) is an organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of urban, economic, and social statistics for cities around the world. It aims to enable cities to use these indicators in developing plans and measuring urban and development performance, thus contributing to enhancing the quality of life for residents. At the conclusion of the event, Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi honored the government agencies that contributed to this achievement, praising their dedication and team spirit. He emphasized that building the city of the future requires integrated efforts and a culture of innovation and proactivity.

Humaid bin Rashid Reviews the Endowments Report in Ajman
His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, reviewed a statistical report on the status of endowments in the Emirate of Ajman. The session was held in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council. The report, prepared by the Ajman Statistics Center in collaboration with relevant entities, was presented by Dr. Hajar Al Habishi, Director General of the Ajman Statistics Center. It included comprehensive statistics on the types of endowments, their value, and generated revenues. The report aims to highlight key endowment-related statistics by collecting and analyzing relevant data, standardizing classifications across concerned authorities, and supporting strategic planning for the development of endowment projects within the emirate.
