His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, directed to enhance the community awareness of endowments and their role in achieving sustainable development in the society, contributing to the launch of new endowment projects and initiatives in the emirate.

Furthermore, His Highness instructed to study the social impact of endowments in the emirate due to its humanitarian and societal significance. His Highness stated, "Endowments have a historical role in promoting social solidarity, enhancing humanitarian and charitable efforts, and are a key supporter in achieving development that benefits all segments of the community ".

This came during the review by His Highness the Ruler of Ajman and His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, of the results of the "Endowments in the Emirate of Ajman for the year 2023" report prepared by the Ajman Statistics Center in collaboration with the relevant authorities.

The report indicated that the total number of endowments in the Emirate of Ajman reached 222, including real estate and non-real estate endowments, with a total value of AED 1.989 billion. It also noted that there are 166 endowment founders, and approximately 94% of endowments' proceeds go to endowment banks, such as mosque affairs, general welfare, and education.

Furthermore, the report mentioned that 79% of the endowments are managed by the relevant endowment authorities, reflecting the community's trust in these entities.

His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, during his review of the report, said, "Such reports, with their statistics on the number, types, values, and proceeds of the endowments, enable making appropriate decisions regarding endowment affairs and developing and implementing sustainable community development plans, in addition to developing strategies for new endowment projects in the emirate".

His Highness commended the cooperation of the governmental, charitable, and societal entities in the emirate, as well as the efforts of the Ajman Statistics Center team in preparing the endowments' report.

On his part, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed Ajman's keenness on developing endowment and charitable projects in the emirate through the concerted efforts of all the competent authorities, in compliance with the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman to ensure the quality of life and provide a stable living environment for the citizens and residents of the emirate.

His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman also directed on exerting continuous efforts to develop endowments in the emirate towards sustainable endowment, urging individuals and institutions to participate in the endowment initiatives.

In her turn , Dr. Hajar Al Hubaishi, the Executive Director of Ajman Statistics Center, stated that the report illustrates the current situation of endowments in the emirate, contributing to standardizing classifications among the relevant authorities , consequently developing the necessary plans to enhance endowment projects in the emirate.

Dr. Al Hubaishi emphasized the center's commitment to learning about the best local and international practices in endowment registration, management, and documentation to ensure the application of the best standards in preparing and presenting endowment reports to the decision-makers.
